Mandarina Polo & Equestrian Club
Signage and wayfinding design for the tourist destination located in the Riviera of Nayarit. Home to One&Only and Rosewood resorts, Mandarina offers unique outdoor experiences including a world-class polo and equestrian club.
The design scope included from roads and trails to buildings and interiors providing the visitor with a reliable and safe wayfinding system, during daytime and at night.
Natural stone signs reflect the nature of Mandarina Polo & Equestrian Club providing a strong sense of identity. From small stones up to half ton boulders, the exterior signage is composed from unique pieces recovered from the area, each individually intervened with graphics and texts.
The studio experimented with ancient Japanese technique of "Charred wood" for the exterior signage, creating elements that blends with their environement while the finishing gives the sign protection against the environment.
